A note attached to this platter said that John Pauley's was located "on the Kan [sic] River, close to where you turn to Corridor G. Saw dust dance floor, very popular place."

The postcard below seems to fix the location as 1810 McCorkle Ave., in the South Ruffner section of Charleston. And Charleston is indeed located on the Kanawha River and Corridor G.

Confirming that location, a July 20, 2011, aside in a story in the West Virginia Gazette says: "Reading the vent about South Ruffner brought to mind John Pauley's, which was on MacCorkle [sic] Avenue in South Ruffner. Does anyone else remember dancing there on that really small dance floor and meeting so many friends there?"
