We were told by the seller that this plate was from Lake Fenton Boat & Yacht Club in Fenton, Michigan, and the seller was also from Fenton. In addition, among the few mentions of the club we found online is an article in the Aug. 28, 1949, Lansing State Journal that says a club license was granted to the club. That date would coincide with the 1949 date on the plate's backstamp.
