Hershey Park opened in 1907 for employees of the Hershey Chocolate Factory in Hershey, Pa. It was converted to a park that was open to the public, and is still in operation today. A park pavilion, added in 1909 and enclosed at a later date, became home to the Hershey Park Café – famous for chicken and waffle dinners.
