From the website Social Networks and Archival Context: "Born in Germany, Louis Hollweg came to Indianapolis from Cleveland in 1868. He opened a small store in Indianapolis selling fruit jars and stoneware. His brother-in-law, Carl Reese, joined the business in 1869. In 1915 the company incorporated as the Mutual China Company, and became a wholesale importer of china. The company closed in 1972 after almost 104 years in business."
