Scott & White Hospital, now Scott&White Healthcare, was started in Temple, Texas, by Arthur C. Scott, MD and Raleigh R. White Jr., MD. They began their medical practice in 1897.

The platter was distributed by Huey & Philp Hardware in Dallas, that according to a tape measure found on eBay, celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1972.
